River Trips: North Branch of the Potomac
From the giant earthen dam of Jennings-Randolph Lake flows the sparkling water of the North Branch. Our trip departs from the recreation area of Barnum, WV and flows approximately 7 miles to our take-out in Bloomington, MD. The scenery is spectacular and the whitewater is just plain fun. Because the North Branch is dam fed it provides a steady flow of water all summer long. We primarily make the run in duckies for one of the best summertime whitewater trips out there.
Join us for special big whitewater releases from the dam in the fall. These releases are designed to provide big whitewater for bigger boats. The fall colors on the run are simply breathtaking and the whitewater run is one of the best fall trips around. Call or contact us for fall release dates.
